We Look Forward To Meeting You!

Welcome to First Baptist Church Steinhatchee. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:

Atmosphere

Our atmosphere is low keyed, friendly, and a place where you become family pretty quickly. Someone once said, "We are a church of common folk doing the best we can to love God and love others." That statement is just as true today as when it was originally said. We talk God, family, fishing, and hunting most of the time. Our music and worship time is a blend of hymns, southern gospel, and some contemporary songs from a few years back.

Family Friendly

Every family is different, but we want you to feel welcome at First Baptist Church Steinhatchee and we're excited for you to consider being a part of our church family! Our intent is to serve the whole family. Being a small church, we may not be able to offer everything that a large church has, however, our intent is to care for you as we do for all our people. During our worship service we encourage families to sit together. We do offer Connection Groups (Sunday School classes) for all ages at 9:45am. Our teaching staff have been background checked and love kids in case you were wondering.

Sermon

From the pulpit you will hear sound preaching. The focus of each sermon is built around the point of the Biblical text being addressed.

Biblical Teaching

Here at First Baptist Church Steinhatchee, we place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God's Word. We use the King James Bible for consistency in scripture memorization and instruction at all age levels. The worship service is a time for us to come together as a community to learn, be encouraged and to be challenged by God's Word. Other opportunities exist beyond the Sunday worship service where members have a chance to grow, fellowship, or otherwise be a part of a Church family that lives out their faith together.
